Is It Catching?
I was young when I started my family. 19 years old when that first startling pregnancy test proved positive what I’d suspected. Fourteen years and four children later, most of our friends are married and finally deciding to climb aboard the baby bandwagon.
So far four of our friends are currently pregnant, several others recently having delivered their first children. And yes from my perspective, it seems like an epidemic. My worry - that it’s contagious.
We’re not looking to conceive number five by any means, and we’re adequately cautious, but any doctor will tell you every form of contraception has it’s failure rate. I love the babies - baby feet, baby skin, baby smell…But with our youngest only 18 months old and our oldest vowing to run away from home should we even think about conceiving another child, well it’s just not in the cards. Not to mention impractical. We’re spilling out of our house as it is. So I’ll do my best to keep that pregnancy virus at bay, take my boosters and all that.
To those that are reproducing, I congratulate you. Parenthood is a beautiful beautiful thing…stretch marks, not so much.

Yeeks, I hope its not catching. I’m like you, except you have me beat by a year. I found out I was preggo at 20, and had the little guy at 21.
I have five, but in fairness, we’re a blended family
Oh but what joy - two 13 year olds (they are almost 14) I couldn’t imagine having another one now! Our other three are 11, 10 and 9.
Yikes! Two teenagers, my one seems like she’s payback for all those hellish years I made my mom suffer through.
