Like A Day At The Park

Published by mrsbear0309 at 11:11 pm under Uncategorized Edit This

Taking seven children (not all of them mine) to the waterpark on a sunny Thursday afternoon sounds like fun in theory. The reality, a little less so. Let’s just say I’m still waiting for the effect of those two Excedrin to kick in.

It wasn’t all bad, only one of the children got diarrhea at an inconvenient time (when they were closing the park, and thankfully she did make it to the bathroom on time). Among the other casualties were, one scraped knee, one twisted ankle, one gouged toe, and a bruised bump on the forehead. My youngest had a fine time and managed to only go under twice, oversized toddler head first, with me following closely behind to fish him out before he swallowed too much chlorinated water. (That is what mommies are for.)

The constant head counts were dizzying and I am grateful to be home.

The sink is full of dishes, the garbage needs to be taken out, and the floor needs a good cleaning. But all that can wait till tomorrow, when I’ll hopefully have recovered from all the fun I had today.

It went away after an episode of Hell’s Kitchen and an iced sugar cookie. ;-)
