Tooting Myself (It’s Not As Icky As It Sounds)

Published by mrsbear0309 at 8:26 pm under Uncategorized Edit This

Tuesday’s are for tooting my own horn. I can’t boast too many accomplishments this week. Today’s biggest was getting out of my PJs, which is commendable considering the dreary weather we’ve had paired with my delicious throbbing headache.

Also this week I confessed something I’d been hiding from those closest to me. This week I came out of the blogging closet. Cue the dramatic music.

OK, I know it’s not a big deal, but on some level I didn’t. I was embarrassed by my ramblings, by the entire blogging process. So I was blogging in secret, late at night, while the kids were in bed, leading this sordid double life. I was entering the blogosphere in the equivalent of a trenchcoat and dark glasses hoping that no one would notice me.

At some point though, I stopped feeling silly and started enjoying it. It’s a great outlet for my neurosis, for my complaints, for the stress that builds throughout a long harrowing day. So, I finally fessed up to the fam. I even gave them a link and let them take a peek. They were not-so-surprisingly supportive and that was a nice feeling.

So, for that I toot. Toot toot toot. And for getting out of my PJs…and for that long hot shower I sorely needed, but I won’t go into detail about that.

Tongue out

It does feel odd to blog. I decided to just because every time I would go to a party I get asked soooo many tax/accounting/financial questions. My undergrad was in art so I have a lot of artist friends with a lot of money questions.
