Ten Things I’ve Learned From My Children

Published by mrsbear0309 at 8:22 am under Uncategorized Edit This

I really loved this writing prompt from Absolutely Bananas. So I thought I would give it a try. I’m always gaining life lessons from my brood. Here are a few.

1. An eye roll is worth a thousand words.

2. Sometimes a shrug is the only available answer.

3. If all else fails, cry loudly with your mouth open, it can create the diversion you need to get away.

4. If someone asks you to please stop doing something, do it faster and as many more times as you can before they physically stop you.

5. If it’s good enough for the dog to eat, it’s good enough for me.

6. Teenage girls cannot be ready in under 90 minutes, it’s a law of physics, time slows down for them during puberty.

7. Toilets are the perfect height for toddlers to wash their hands in.

8. The dark is less scary in mommy’s bed, especially if you put your feet right up against her spine.

9. A dinosaur is an acceptable response when someone asks you what you want to be when you grow up.

10. New toys lose their attraction once you get them out of the packaging, eventually they stop smelling fresh and are not worth picking up.

I think I could go on all day.
