A Whole Lot of Nothing
There’s no shame in it, is there? In having nothing to blog about? It’s just one entry, right? Does that make me a bad blogger? I mean it’s not that I have nothing to blog about. Certainly there’s plenty of fodder, I could dissect any one of a thousand mommy moments I had today to construct a poignant, amusingly profound blog post to awe and inspire my dedicated (and not so dedicated) readership.
Please, don’t take it personally. It’s not you, it’s me. I really, really want to write something spectacular, something impressive, something epic, just for you, but…well…I haven’t had alot on my mind lately. These dang Olympics have me so preoccupied lately. And the kids…don’t get me started on the kids. It seems they were determined today to stay out of my hair, determined not to do a single amusing, or entertaining, or mind blowingly offensive thing. My oldest daughter did laundry, my tween loaded the dishwasher. Oh the humanity. My five year old played quietly on the computer. My toddler, my dependable goto man for entertaining baby moments, he took a nap…a nap. How am I supposed to blog about normalcy, about the humdrum , about the inane, the pointless, the absolute snore fest that was my life today?
Oh, yeah, well nevermind then. Feel free to go about your business. There’s nothing to see here.
