Out of the Cone of Uncertainty

So this cone of misfortune just keeps shifting. How anti-climactic.

Darn nature and it’s unpredictability.

And we’re expected to adjust, expected to disregard all the gloom and doom reporting, and just go on with our lives. Go on with our lives?

Yeah, okay, we’ll return to our regularly scheduled programming slightly frazzled but no worse for the wear…thankfully.

Still, Ike’s gotta make landfall somewhere, right? It’s slated to hit Cuba tomorrow, possibly Louisiana sometime in the next week. Like these people need anymore rainfall or destruction. If I could, I might use my brain power to draw Ike closer to the peninsula, after all we’re prepared. Slap some aluminum shutters on the house and we’re good to go for a week, maybe longer. I’ve got Chef Boyardee and Bumble Bee Tuna up the ying-yang, why not make it work for us?

Truthfully, I don’t want to weather a Cat 4 monster storm and I am truly grateful it seems to be deviating from it’s original path. We’ll still be watching the updates, thinking about those other families in other places bracing themselves and stocking up on canned food. Maybe they’ll be lucky enough to get spared a direct blow from Ike as well. Maybe I’ll work on making that happen with my mind powers instead.

Be safe! What a stressful way to live. It must be hard.

    Take care of yourself!

We’re close to Tampa and were told we would be hit by Fay. We got nothing on the day the kids were home from school. Then on the day they were in school we had terrible wind and storms (nothing life-threatening). Now who knows what’s going to happen? I’m just going to sit back & wait. We’re prepared from Fay so we’ll just see. Hope you’re safe!

At least you’ve got lots of the “Chef” on hand. Think about how many nights you’ll be spared cooking!

And now you can rest assured you won’t need to be holed up with all those cats.
