Outnumbered Two to One

I’m always flattered when I receive an award from a fellow blogger because it means they not only found their way to my little corner of the world, but that they liked it enough to come back and recommend it to their friends. Another satisfied customer and nary a bribe did I have to hand out. Hooray.

That’s where the thanks come in.

I was gifted with this recently (or mostly recently, sort of):

Big thanks to Elizabeth from The Parenting Pink blog, Anonymom from Simply AnonyMOM, Toni from It Is Nap Time, Elizabeth from Three Channels , Tara from Tara’s View of the World,  and Juliana from Juliana’s Site for believing that my blog invests in proximity. From what I gather it’s a Portuguese award (which makes it very worldly) meant to celebrate community through blogging or something like that.

This award in particular requires that I list six things that make me happy along with six other worthy bloggers that I’ll bestow this trinket to.

Firstly, in order of importance we’ve got:

1. The family. All of them.

2. Food. Everything that falls in to the category of edible or drinkable.

3. Sleep. Nuff said.

4. A really good book.

5. A really good movie.

6. A really good conversation.

Then, in no particular order we’ve got:

The no thanks part of this post was meant to draw attention to the amount of freakish spam I keep getting in my comment box. Luckily they’re all flagged due to their inappropriate content, almost all of it having to do with either pornography or the sale of tires. It’s only been in the past couple of weeks that I’ve started receiving it. It was a little funny at first, then really annoying, and now merely a daily chore I’ve got to deal with.

I was curious if any other bloggers have had a similar experience. It’s weirdo stuff I wouldn’t even try to repeat for fear it would draw similar Googles.  For the record, I want no part of what they’re selling.

No thanks, spammers. Take your filthy wares else…wheres.
