Outnumbered Two to One

I’m new to this blogging thing. Six months ago I would have been hard pressed to define a meme or a widget. Nowadays, I’m familiar with the terms as well as with all those delightful abbreviations I like to mutter under my breath when the kids are acting up. omgwtf. I discovered SITS early on, it’s a blogging community and then some. It was through their featured blogs that I learned to improve my blogging skills, along with the value of reader comments.

Today is SITSmas , an online Christmas card exchange, a day of giveaways and cheer, of visiting fellow SITStas and spreading some comment love like a winter flu. And I fully intend to sneeze on some people in the name of holiday goodness.

The picture above is our Christmas picture from last year. Notice the adults are no where to be found. That’s because we’re a slovenly pair and cleaning up for a family snapshot is obviously too much trouble. But the kids seem to capture the spirit of the season with their Christmas lollipops and twinkling eyes, except for my darling teen of course who’s more twitchy than twinkly due to the close proximity of her siblings. I don’t know if we’ll be able to swing another group photo this year, it’s getting harder and harder to get them to cooperate, but we’ll give it a try in the next few weeks.

Hopefully all this holiday talk will put me in the right mindset to go and spend some money we don’t have on impractical gifts.

I can only hope.
